The Spirit of

Lost Creek Canyon

Set into the foothills of the Coachella Valley, this is not your grandaddy's ranch.  Nor your granny's. Originally inhabited only by jackrabbits and bighorn sheep, this ground has played host to native Americans for more than a thousand years before the arrival of European settlers in the mid-19th century.

Legend has it that the first permanent dwelling in the valley was built here in 1876 by the Stubbe clan, a name that ultimately attached itself to the canyon in which it sits.  For many years, the Stubbes operated a stagecoach stop and bordello comforts for weary travelers on their way to the coast. Subsequent owners included a hermit named Herman, a world-famous business executive turned architect, and a pioneering cancer researcher.   If these hills could talk, they would have much to say.

Today the 400-acre Lost Creek Canyon Ranch is owned by a California couple who have spent the last five years bringing the property back to life.  It includes a spectacular range of flora, fauna, vistas and environments simply found nowhere else.  For the first time, this unique place is now open and available for customized tours, special events, and photo shoots.  Give us a call and come see for yourself.
