A sad story with a happy ending: a German shepherd named Cora turned up at the ranch with a badly damaged leg.  We brought her to the Veterinary Urgent Care of the Desert where they did their best but just couldn't save the limb.  However, she has adjusted beautifully and was recently adopted by a young family.  A perfect fit.
