January was full of surprises.  Sebastian the goat escaped his enclosure and served as a hood ornament on our pick-up for a while.  We did not have to go far to find him.

Our vintage bee house, now restored. In years past, the ranch had a large number of bee boxes registered with the state’s department of agriculture. These days the bee house will function as a resting spot for hikers.

Towards the end of the month, Chef Tanya from Tanya’s Kitchen came to the ranch for a photo shoot. Thereafter, she served up some killer vegan meals over a campfire.
